Sunho Baek, CEO of Twigfarm, lectures on “Technology on Broadcasting Content Localization” at ‘KOBA 2023’

Sunho Baek, CEO of Twigfarm, a company specializing in artificial intelligence(AI)natural language processing (NLP), presents at the "KOBA 2023 Media Conference” at COEX Conference Center on May 17. KOBA2023 (31st International Broadcast, Media, Audio, Lighting Exhibition), is a representative exhibition jointly organized by Korea E & EX Inc. and the Korea Broadcasting Engineers and Technicians Association (KOBETA), related to the broadcasting and communication convergence industry that showcases the future of next-generation broadcasting services, media, audio, and lighting industries.

 

Twigfarm operates an AI-based digital content localization platform. They provide tools such as "LETR WORKS" for content localization, custom translation engines, translation quality validators, and refineries through LETR API. This cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution allows for rapid and accurate localization of various contents, such as videos, webtoons, and web novels, by leveraging artificial intelligence technology while reducing time and cost.

During the event, CEO Sunho Baek will give a presentation on the topic of "Emerging Technologies that Reduces Time and Cost for Broadcast Content Localization" at the "AI and Media" session on May 17th. He will discuss domestic and international services and research and development efforts from the perspective of a startup operating an artificial intelligence-based content localization platform. The presentation will cover various topics, including multi-modal machine translation for better understanding of videos, services that generate human-like voices, language model-based engines for translation quality inspection, cloud-based video content localization platforms, services based on giant language models, and data collection projects to foster artificial intelligence research.

 

Sunho Baek stated, "With the growth and global expansion of K-content, there is a growing demand in the content industry for solutions that enable faster and more accurate localization of content. In this lecture, I will introduce the latest technologies and services that can address the challenges faced in this field."
