Gwangju City and Twigfarm Sign Investment Agreement at the 2022 Gwangju Investment Opportunity Briefing

Gwangju City and the AI Natural Language Processing (NLP) specialized company, Twigfarm, have signed an investment agreement.

 

On the1st, Gwangju City held the '2022 Gwangju Investment Opportunity Briefing' at the Kim Dae-Jung Convention Center to kick off active investment attraction activities. During the event, Gwangju City conducted an investment agreement signing ceremony with 13 promising domestic and international advanced industry companies, including Twigfarm.

Thirteen advanced industry promising companies, including Twigfarm, have signed investment agreements with Gwangju City, pledging a total of 82.8 billion KRW (USD70 million) in investments and the creation of 593 new jobs. In response, Gwangju City will provide investment attraction subsidies, tax incentives, and support for incentives based on investment attraction.

 

Mayor Ki-jung Kang stated, "Gwangju is a city prepared to be a successful partner for companies that will enhance the competitiveness of future industries, with well-equipped educational, research, and support institutions and companies like no other region." He further added, "We will actively support various incentives to ensure that companies can grow rapidly."

 

Meanwhile, Sun-ho Baek, the CEO of Twigfarm, expressed, "Gwangju AI Convergence Zone is the optimal place equipped with a stable infrastructure for AI research." He continued, "We will enhance our technological capabilities to generate profits and contribute to raising the status of Gwangju as an Asian cultural hub by utilizing the research results."
